THIS IS ME...  

Welcome to my art world. I'm Carrie Wroot, a Canadian visual artist with more than 35 years of professional experience creating and selling original artwork.

My career began rather humbly as a ceramicist, working at my dining room table while my two young children played nearby and my husband cheered me on. Over the years, my creative path expanded from clay into visual art, but the thing that drives me has never really changed: I love to create.

I don't tend to stay in one lane. I'm constantly drawn to new subjects, materials and techniques, allowing each body of work to evolve naturally before curiosity pulls me somewhere new. My work is intuitive and deeply personal—often inspired more by emotion, imagination and the world around me than by any single theme.

What matters most to me is connection. I love knowing that something I've created can stop someone in their tracks, stir a memory, evoke an emotion or simply make them feel something. And there is still no greater thrill than seeing a piece of my work find its person and knowing it will become part of their home and their story.

After more than three decades as a professional artist, I'm still excited by the possibilities of a blank canvas and still curious about where creativity will take me next.
